Skyscapes

Skyscapes in Ireland are spectacular. The light is never the same on this little island at the edge of the Atlantic. No sunset is ever the same. I'm a cloud watcher and will stop in my tracks to catch a sunset or sunrise. Inevitably this happens driving from the west of Ireland towards the east, when suddenly in the rear view mirror the Irish sky is literally dripping colours.
Petrol stations and car parks are my favourite locations to capture skyscapes, these ordinary places usually in the middle of nowhere, frame big Irish skies with a lamp post, a GAA net, a house roof top or a car at the bottom of the shot to give perspective.
